In the MLS Shared Sora school collection, the current policies are:
Borrowing
- Up to 5 titles can be checked out at the same time by a user
- The default loan period is 21 days for books, with unlimited renewals unless there is a hold on the title
- The default loan period is 14 days for magazines, with unlimited renewals
Holds
- Users can place holds on up to 5 titles at a time
- Users have 5 days to borrow their available holds before they're passed to the next user
Special Note: Assigned titles, magazines, and titles borrowed from public library/network collections via Sora do not count toward the total number of checked out items (or holds placed).
Public and academic libraries are subject to the borrowing policies set forth by the SAILS Library Network for its OverDrive Consortium Collection.
