BiblioTemp Placements are instructed to notify their onsite supervisor as soon as possible when they will be out sick. Placements will report sick time on their weekly timesheet.
The Massachusetts Earned Sick Time law entitles all Massachusetts employees, including temporary and part-time, to earn sick pay. Our BiblioTemps accrue 1 hour of sick pay for every 30 hours worked. As employees of MLS, BiblioTemps are paid sick time by MLS and not by the placement library. The client service fee has been calculated to allow for sick time pay.
